What is cashless?
Cashless is a payment system that makes transactions easier and safer. You’ll have a wristband to which you can charge the amount you plan to spend and use it at any bar, shop or food stall inside Waking Life. At the end of the ride, you’ll be able to recover your remaining balance online.

Is cashless safe?
Yes, your wristband is protected by a highly secure encryption that makes it impossible to copy or steal the money and all the information stored on it.


Where do I get my wristband?
You’ll receive your wristband when you scan your ticket at the entrance.

What can I buy with my wristband?
Your wristband is the only accepted payment method. You can use it at every bar, food shops and other facilities services inside Waking Life.

Does my wristband have a limit or expiration date?
Your wristband will be valid for the entire duration of the event and you can use it as many times as you want. For security reasons, the maximum amount accepted on the wristband is limited.

Is my wristband water resistant?
Yes, sun and rain are not a problem for your wristband.

What happens if I lose my wristband?
Losing your wristband is like losing your wallet and your ticket, so remember to tighten it properly to your wrist. In case of loss or theft, you can go to the Info Point and ask for a new one. NOTE: your new wristband won’t have any of the money you had on your previous one.


How do I put money on my wristband?
You can charge your wristband online before the festival, or at any top-up point inside. If you want to charge online, go to the cashless section on our website and follow the steps. If you prefer to charge onsite, go to any top-up booth and pay in cash or by card.

How can I top-up online?
Go to the cashless dedicated page and start with signing up, using your email address in the top-up registration window. Fill in all the required information to set up your personal account, accept the Terms & Conditions and confirm. Online top-ups are only possible before the festival starts and come with a benefit of 10% in free Klingeling. Free Klingeling are non-refundable, can be used to purchase drinks at all bars and food at certain food shops & will be activated after your purchased credits are spent.

I topped-up online but didn’t receive the confirmation email, what can I do?
If you didn’t receive the confirmation email, check in your SPAM folder as it may have ended up there. If not found in the SPAM folder and doesn’t arrive after several minutes, send an email to and we will get back to you asap.

How much should I charge into my wristband?
You can charge your wristband with any amount you like, but the maximum amount accepted is €500 at a time.

What happens if I don’t have enough credit on my wristband?
If the balance on your wristband is too low, you won’t be able to pay. You’ll be asked to go to top-up at any of the top-up booths. Be aware that online top-ups are not possible during the festival.

What if I have doubts about my balance?
At each location and before/after each transaction you can check the remaining balance on your wristband. If you have doubts about any past transaction, you can go to the Info Point and ask for your transaction history, or you can turn to your personal account for this as well. NOTE: sometimes, due to connectivity issues of the devices, there might be a delay in updating the transaction history. In this case, please wait until the end of the day to get your confirmed transaction history.


How do I recover unspent balance?
If you didn’t spend all the money on your wristband, you can request a refund through the online refund form. IMPORTANT: Remember to keep your wristband with you when you leave the festival. The refund will be made after the refund period is over. Please take into account that processing all requested refunds might take some time.
