Cashless refunds

Everyone who has a bracelet and credits uploaded onto it, can request a refund of the unspent balance. Be aware that free credits are non-refundable (staff, extra value of Klingeling presale, …). Note that you’ll need a European bank account to request a refund.

Important: Remember to keep your bracelet with you when you leave the festival. You will need the number on your bracelet (uID) to claim your online refund.

How do I recover unspent balance?
After the festival, you can request a refund via the widget below. If you take no action, your leftover Klingeling will be donated to the Waking Life Landcare Project.

How can I get an online refund?
Online refunds will open 3 days after the festival and will last for 2 weeks (from June 27, 00:01 until July 11, 23:59). You will have to fill in the 6 characters of the unique code that comes on the back of your wristband, and the details of the bank account where you want your money refunded. The refund will be paid back after the refund period is finished. Please take into account that processing all the requested refunds might take a couple of weeks.

Why does your refund page show a balance lower than what was remaining at the end of the event?
The refund system will automatically calculate the correct refundable balance. The money that you received as a gift cannot be refunded (crew, artists, volunteers, …).

The refund period has passed, can I still get a refund?
The duration of the refund period is from June 27, 00:01 until July 11, 23:59. If you try to get a refund outside this window, it won’t work.

I’ve filled in the refund form with the incorrect bank details
Send an email with your bank details and your bracelet number to cashless@wakinglife.pt (within the deadline) and we’ll adjust the details for you.

Why do I have to pay a transaction fee to regain my refund?
The transaction fee is a banking/processing fee established by the event to cover the transaction cost to get the money back into your account. The transaction fee is €1.
