Waking Life is a midsummer festival, a landcare project, and a year-round dojo for creation, experimentation and play. 

All the world’s a stage, so time to find your spotlight, floodlight, starlight, by day or by night..

We provide the playground, but it’s yours to play with. Ticker, tailor, troll and trollop into the space. Time to get your freak on and remember to dance with the challenges of our rough-and-tumble sun soaked landscape.

We're after the wild, the weird, and the unexpected.. so.. like not DJs :)

Keep in mind there's noise, loudish music and other hyperstimulating elements, home to festival grounds.

Transgressive? Yus. Collaborative? Yum. Feasible? Yes please. Thrilling? Estupendo.

O mundo é todo um palco, por isso é tempo de encontrares o teu lugar iluminado, à luz do sol ou à luz das estrelas, seja de dia ou de noite.

Nós trazemos o parque de diversões, mas cabe-te a ti fazer a brincadeira. Dá largas à imaginação, liberta a bruxa que plana sobre a tua sombra, faz-te de alfaiate e peça de arte e lembra-te, há que dançar com os desafios desta paisagem solarenga, árida, e indisciplinada.

Queremos cenas malucas, bizarras, inesperadas... tipo... nada a ver com DJs :)

Não te esqueças que há barulho por todo o lado, música alta e outros elementos hiper estimulantes nestes terrenos festivaleiros.

Transgressivo? Bora. Colaborativo? Isso. Viável? Epá, sim sff. Emocionante? Maravilha.

We're honoured and swamped with all the ideas we receive, so thank you for taking the time to apply. We read all your rad proposals, but it is hard to answer everyone with the little humans we are to respond to everything.

This is to say, bear with us, we might take some time to get back to you. If after a while (+ 1 month) you've still not heard from us, then that means we won't be considering your proposal for our 2025 program.

In both cases :) we hope to cross paths on a dancefloor where we can go off on countercultural tangents together.
