For 2025 we’re introducing a sliding scale system because we don’t want to grow in overall capacity, but lowering it is impossible unless we jack up the ticket price. We want to keep entry as accessible as possible, but also build a safety net for unpredictabilities, to keep up with rising costs & inflation, level up the landcare project, and actualise some wilder ideas we’re sitting on.

We know that people don’t have same budgets and live different economic realities, so those who can pay more allow for others to pay less. We’re starting the slide at €260 (far left) and cap it at €320 (far right), more far righters translate to greater security and accessibility - far right for socialist policies!

We also ran a comparison to other European, independent* festivals of similar scope/scale and we rank below average on the pricing scale. Independent means free of 

These words make sense to me and I commit to these good vibe essentials. If I don’t stick to this pact, I will not be crazy surprised if I get asked to leave the festival.

Olá, so you wanna participate in Waking Life 2025?

Communitarian behaviour takes some mindfulness and effort, and perhaps some de-conditioning. We have more detailed guidance on the website, but here are some of the good vibe essentials & basic rules..

We don’t want to put stickers on your phones, but cameras and filming on the dancefloors is nevertheless prohibited. We want privacy for liberation and expression. People have to be able to surrender to trance, to an undocumented ephemeral moment, without the invasiveness of a camera.

Cigarette butts. Put them in your portable ashtrays or pockets. Don’t throw them on the goddam ground. The environment is not our ashtray. If you don’t have an ashtray, find a friend or stranger who does, or find a bin nearby. Same goes for all litter. Bin it.

No fires. Light your smokeables and that’s it. There is extremely high fire risk in the area. No gas stoves, candles, campfires, fireworks - whatsoever. We don't want to set the festival and surrounding forest on fire.

Compost toilets are for peeing and pooping. Lake is for floating and splashing. Keep these activities in their respective areas. But to make it extra clear, don’t piss or shit in the lake.

It feels like we shouldn’t have to say this, but no bullying or harassment in any form. No stealing or vandalising. Be respectful and kind to your peers & your surroundings. Make this space our collective home.
