Now is a good moment to start organizing your travel to and from the festival. You can keep costs down if you plan ahead and book tickets. This also leaves you with more options to choose for ground transportation, which we highly recommend. Travel accounts for the most significant part of the festivals’ CO2 emissions. Consider carpooling, buses, train, hitchhiking trails, and organize yourself in crews with whom you can dive into your June adventure! A special welcome will be given to the valiant cyclist’s arrival.

There will be shuttles for participants that want to go from Waking Life to Crato on:
– Sunday 23.06, Monday 24.06 and Tuesday 25.06 at 6:30 (to the bus station / to catch the bus of 07:20)
– Sunday 23.06, Monday 24.06 and Tuesday 25.06 at 13:00 (to the train station / to catch the train of 14:23)
A daily shuttle will drive between Waking Life and Crato for visits to the village (Friday – Sunday). The bus departs at Waking Life at 14:00, returns at 17:00.
Portalegre < > Waking Life

Carpooling
We highly encourage carpooling to those who have the possibility to do so. In our Hitch a Ride group you can offer empty seats to or from Waking Life to fellow travellers or ask them to share their ride with you.
Taxi
Taxi numbers will be available at the info point, but bear in mind service in Crato is very limited. Taxi pickup and drop-off point is at the main entrance, and that includes some walking : )
